Kids from Sauvie Island worked in Baltimore Woods, mulching the oak woodland plantings. This is a new forest with 3 yr. old plants. The mulch keeps the weeds down around each plant.

SOLVE and its partners are working to enhance a number of sites near Baltimore Woods. Volunteers will be planting native trees and shrubs to restore this urban watershed. Over time, this work will improve water quality, create wildlife habitat, and store carbon to slow climate change.
