Dogs are not allowed in the meadows because they are Natural Areas. Portland Parks policy is to disallow dogs when the area is in reconstruction. The policy will be reviewed once it is stabilized. Two new acquisitions have been finalized! The two properties are equivalent to the size of three city lots and located between N. New York and N. Baltimore adjacent to a large property already acquired near Baltimore. That makes close to a solid two-block long area.
SOLVE and its partners are working to enhance a number of sites near Baltimore Woods. Volunteers will be planting native trees and shrubs to restore this urban watershed. Over time, this work will improve water quality, create wildlife habitat, and store carbon to slow climate change. SOLVE will provide all tools and gloves for this project. Meet at N St John and Edison, look for SOLVE sign. Sign up on the SOLVE website. volunteer
