Oct 25 No Ivy Day, 9:00-12 in the "Big Oak" lot. All Portlanders should experience pulling ivy at some time and here's the perfect place..a lot purchased for Baltimore Woods next to Cathedral Park which has large trees festooned with ivy. Parks Dept. cut brush so we can access the ivy and native plants will be planted once invasives are removed. Come have fun cutting and yanking ivy in this work party! Look for signs on Crawford and Alta. Gloves, tools, water & snacks provided. Parks sign up
University of Portland students form two women's halls worked very hard in Baltimore Woods on Labor Day Weekend. They cleared summer weeds & mulched around plants. And they did a big sheet mulching project.

SOLVE and its partners are working to enhance a number of sites near Baltimore Woods. Volunteers will be planting native trees and shrubs to restore this urban watershed. Over time, this work will improve water quality, create wildlife habitat, and store carbon to slow climate change.
