NPSO Monthly Program: Friends of Baltimore Woods

Join us for a FREE presentation about past, present and future restoration efforts in North Portland at the Native Plant Society of Oregon (Portland Chapter) meeting on September 12th

Description: Volunteer land stewards in a St. Johns neighborhood along the Willamette River have protected a narrow strip of remnant White oak savannah habitat abutting an industrial area. Baltimore Woods includes a meadow planted with native plants after depaving and eradicating invasive species and a section of the planned North Portland Greenway Trail, the Willamette River Trail connection through the Woods all the way to Kelly Point where the Willamette joins the Columbia River. Come and learn about past, present and future restoration efforts in North Portland.

Details: Native Plant Society of Oregon-Portland Chapter meetings are held on the second Thursday of every month (except July and August) at TaborSpace at Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church, 5441 SE Belmont Street, Portland. We meet in Muir Hall. The meeting room is open for informal discussion at 7pm and the formal part of the meeting starts promptly at 7:15pm. The program is FREE and open to the public. RSVP on Facebook.
